Tester Call

Here is where you can sign up to be one of my pattern testers! Testing patterns is a serious business, so, please, only serious tester apply.

What I generally need from my testers:

1. Someone who is very good at meeting deadlines.
Not all of my tester calls have the same time allocated to them. Some tests may be months long, others may only have a week. You will get an email before each test that will have a detailed schedule for each section of the test. If you can make the deadlines, then testing is for you.

2. Someone who understands gauge swatches and how gauge relates to a pattern. Gauge is a vitally important part of creating a garment that fits. Testers need to know how to make adjustment to create a blocked gauge swatch that matches gauge for the project.

3. Someone who dedicates a lot of time to details. Testers need to be able to not only knit/crochet a garment or accessory, but be able to accurately make gauge, check finished measurements, pattern understandability, and grammar. If there are any clear mistakes in count or clarity, I need to know.

4. Someone who can match yarn weight and gauge. I use a variety of yarn for my projects and would like for my testers to try their best to match the yarns in their test knit/crochets. But, I also understand that yarn availability plays a role in whether or not that is doable. So, testers must be able to find substitute yarns in the same weight and gauge to match the pattern in order to complete the project.

5. Someone who can take good pictures of finished tests. I use these pictures in a variety of ways. For one example, I like to link them in my ravelry to show different variations to anyone who is interested in the pattern. These pictures need to be of a good quality, with good lighting, and framed as best as possible. I prefer for garments to be photographed worn so that everyone can see what it looks like on a variety of different body types. By agreeing to test, you also agree to allow me to use your pictures on my blog, ravelry, etsy, instagram, and anywhere else I either sell or show my patterns.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please apply below. All tester calls will be first come first serve, and will only have 5 - 10 slots. So once a tester email goes out, respond quickly to secure your spot!!
