Happy Christmas everyone that celebrates! And Happy Holidays to everyone else! This year, we celebrated a little of Hanukkah with my friend, and Christmas remotely with our families. It was wonderful to learn about a new religion and have a little more understanding about a holiday that I’ve heard about since I was a child, but really have no idea about!

I cooked Christmas dinner for Vin and I, and we ate waaaaay too much. Which, is what you have to do, right? We’ll have leftovers for a week since there was only 2 of us, but I can’t even complain about that!

We also didn’t have a white Christmas at all this year. It rained and howled outside for most of the day! So, it was good to spend the time together indoors.

Hope you had a good day/week/month too! And, here’s hoping for a bright New Year for 2021, too!

ABOUT THIS HAT:

This is the Triple Twist Beanie! It is a cute little hat that works up very quickly. It would be great for any last minute gifts that you maybe forgot about! (We all do it, right!?). If you’re a slow knitter like me, it will take you about 2 hours top to work up this beanie. My friend, who is a knitting pro, finished it in less than an hour! So, when I say it’s quick, I mean it!

The best feature, aside from how quick it works up, for this hat is the cable panel! The panel features 3 cables, one with a right twist, one with a left twist, and a seed stitch cable for some added texture!

For this pattern, I created directions for 4 sizes of hats. A child size, and 3 adult sizes; small, medium, and large. They should fit head circumference sizes between 18” - 24”. If for any reason you need a hat that is either smaller or larger, in the notes section there are directions on how to adjust the hat to whatever size you need.

The sample hat is knit in We Are Knitters The Wool, which is a super bulky weight 6. I chose a 100% Peruvian wool to make my hat, because I wanted it to be super cozy, but my testers used a variety of different bulky weight yarn to make theirs. Some of the favorites for this project were Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, Lion Brand Hometown, and Bernat Softee Chunky. All of which made stunning hats, as you can see below.

Happy knitting everyone!

THANK YOU! to all my wonderful testers!

Kat, Emilie, Zahra, Laura and Jillian
