How is everyone lately? We’ve been doing well. Around here I’ve been gearing up to start on my fall and winter makes. I have so many things planned for this upcoming season, so now I just need to get my hands in gear to actually make all the things I have planned! I’m off to a really good start already!

Some of the goodies I have planned include a cocoon sweater, a sweater dress/poncho (Halloween time), some fall holiday decor, and a whole handful sweaters to get us through the season! I really can’t wait to get started on all the new ideas!

ABOUT THIS SCARF:

This is a scarf that I made for my friend Kaya one year for Christmas. I wanted to make her something unique and in a style she would love. This is the scarf I came up with.

This scarf is made with two different types of lace brought together to make a gorgeous garment. It uses Eyelet Mock Cables and a Zig Zag stitch. The 2 different sets of lace stitches gives this scarf a very sophisticated look that seems like it must be complicated; but it’s NOT! Both of the lace patterns have only a 4 row repeat! So, once you have those 4 rows memorized, you’re well on your way!

This scarf is perfect for working up in front of your favorite TV show, while listening to an audio book, or while you’re chatting with friends!

I created the sample scarf in Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca, which is a weight 4 aran yarn that is made of 90% acrylic and 10% alpaca. It has the slightly fuzzy look that alpaca has without being completely frizzy so I love it for this design! However, you can use any weight 4 yarn with the scarf and I think it would turn out lovely!
